AARP TAX HELP
Free tax help will be offered from 9:30 to 12:00 noon every Friday from February 7 to April 11 for taxpayers with low to moderate income with special attention to those age 60 and over. Federal and New Jersey state returns are prepared and e-filed. Taxpayers should bring photo ID and social security cards (or earnings notice from Social Security) for themselves and any dependents. They should also bring all their tax information (such as W-2 forms and 1099 forms) and a copy of last year's return. For direct deposit of refunds, they should bring a check to provide accurate bank account numbers.
This service, sponsored by AARP Foundation under cooperative agreement with the IRS, is provided by trained and IRS-certified volunteers. Persons do not have to be seniors or AARP members to take advantage of this service.
No appointments are made. First come first serve. More Information about AARP's Tax Aide Service.
