Book Sales

Thousands of used and like-new books, paperbacks, audio books, CDs and DVDs are available at bargain prices. Interested in helping with book sales? Contact Friends’ President Janet Kelleher at her email address: friends@mtlaurel.lib.nj.us.

FRIENDS CORNER BOOK SALE

Used and like-new hardback and paperback books for all ages are available year-round at two selling locations in the library—the outside book cart and the Friends Corner Book Sale inside near magazines. 

Donating to the Book Sale

The Friends of the Library accept book donations year-round in the wire baskets found at the right end of the circulation desk. 

The Friends welcome your gently used donations but do not accept the following:  encyclopedias of any kind; magazines; Reader’s Digest Condensed Books; damaged, mouldy or yellowing books; childrens books that are torn, written in or dirty, or directories, almanacs, travel, computer or medical books more than 2 years old. We also do not accept old computer software or LP records. Please schedule large estate donations of 5 boxes or more by contacting Eileen King at 856-234-3062 or friendsbookdonations@mtlaurel.lib.nj.us

We receive many donations over the year and thank each and every one of you who donate your gently read books which enable the Friends to raise much needed funds for the library.  Please visit the Friends Corner Book Sale which is open year-round in the library and purchase someone else's "gently read books."

Meetings

Meetings are held in the Library on the 2nd Monday of each month at 7PM, except July and August. Members of the public are welcome to attend.

* The Friends February Meeting will be held on Monday, February 7th.

Individual (Basic) Membership ($10/year) includes:

• The Friends' Newsletter
• Early admission to the Used Book Sales
• Discounts on book discussion groups

Family Membership ($15/year)

• includes all the above, for all family members
  

Patron Membership ($50/year) includes all Basic, plus:

• Your name on a bookplate in a new library book of your choice

Business Membership ($100/year)
